San Francisco - L.A - Las Vegas

Lovely San Francisco
In summer my friends and I decided to travel.
I could't wait to see the famous bridge and when that happened I was amazed!
It was like looking at a painting. the colours, the people the huge red bridge, the blue waters... it was a perfect combination.
After that we headed to Alcatraz (I had seen the movie The Rock so I had to visit it) It was scary and sad at the same time. The jail was in ruins....
Riding a cable car was such an experience! you can get dizzy, that's for sure!

Starry Los Angeles
We got out from the bus and my Brazilian friend said “It’s like we are in Mexico” and it was true! Many, many Spanish speaking people. The walk of fame and the theater were the only attractions we knew from LA.
On the streets were so many talented people waiting to be discovered! dancers, actors, jugglers. If you make it in L.A you make it anywhere....
theperfect way to finish the day? Venice Beach!

What happens in Vegas....
Vegas baby! We stayed in this so cool hostel with a swimming pool and a bathtub. The hostel had special activities every night. One night it was pool tournament, the next night pub crawling. It was awesome because I had never done those thiongs before! of course it was the first ever I had beer for brakfast, beer for lunch and beer for dinner...

Someday I’ll be back my Awesome Chicago

I thought “ok, I’m in the USA, this is it”.
And it was summer!
I went to see what downtown Chicago looked like, and it was love at first sight…
I had never seen something like it before! So many buildings ad people, and cars and malls!

I loved the Millennium Park with the huge sculpture “Cloud Gate” AKA “The bean”, the Crown Fountains, the immense Stage…

I could be hours staring at the two towers! Or play with my reflection in “the bean”.
I saw many concerts on that big stage, watch movies there and spent great afternoons and nights!

The museums are so magnificent. My favorite: the Museum of Science and Industry with the body slices, the submarine and the chicken hatchery. In the Field Museum I saw a dinosaur for the first time! How incredible is that! And the Shedd Aquarium with the dolphins’ performance and biggest lizard in the world!
The list can so go on. The Lincoln Park Zoo, the visit to the Hancock Building, the Sears Towers and of course, the beach!

Chicago was the place where I went to college, went ice skating for the first time,  celebrated my first Halloween, kissed American guys, met a pick up artist, went to parties and fell in love.

Bits of the New World

It was my first time on a plane, my first time traveling by myself, my first time away for home and I didn’t know then, but I was about to spend 18 months in the USA…
Before actually getting there, I knew about it more than I knew about my own country. I had spent many years watching Hollywood movies! So, when I said “I’m going to the US” Not even I could believe it.
